We love Brunch at Frontera Grill (445 N Clark St, 312-661-1434), featuring huevos “Fronterizos” with sausage and biscuits
The flaw The restaurant’s closed Sundays, the day that was built for brunch
The defense Owners Rick and Deann Bayless are unfazed by our deep disappointment: “We get asked all the time to open on Sundays. The truth is we never will! We like to offer two days off [Frontera is also closed Mondays] to our staff and for us, too.”
Potential for change Zip
Alternatively Two Frontera alums guard their weekends less jealously: Chilam Balam (3023 N Broadway, 773-296-6901) and Mixteco Grill (1601 W Montrose Ave, 773-868-1601) both serve Sunday brunch.
