For basketball fans, the story of LeBron James will be familiar, as familiar as this doc will feel for anyone who watches the back-story docs made for ESPN to fill time before a big game. To give some heft to the tale of friendship and team camaraderie and overcoming adversity and the athlete cycle of hubris and humbling, Belman pays a lot of attention to their coach, Dru Joyce, who is refreshingly candid about mistakes he made. But even when some criticism is included, the whole thing feels like a carefully crafted, publicist-approved piece of mythmaking.
