On Snacktime (Desperation Records), Barenaked Ladies draws upon its own progeny’s interest in groups ranging from the Beatles to the Black Eyed Peas. Meanwhile, local kiddie-pop icon Ralph Covert, the brains behind Ralph’s World and former lead singer of the Bad Examples, has released Rhyming Circus (Disney Sound), which features everything from country and western tunes to cool, laid-back grooves.
