Night of a Thousand Clean Plates
This fund-raiser for StoryBus, a children’s museum on wheels that visits pre-K and kindergarten classrooms in low-income neighborhoods, brings 11 teams of chefs from some of the city’s best-known restaurants to the Kohl museum to create their own version of classic kid food. Some, such as Susan and Michael Maddox from Le Titi de Paris and Benjamin Browning from Landmark, will bring along their own kids to help whip up creative takes on dishes like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, macaroni and cheese, and—of course—chicken nuggets. Kohl Children’s Museum, 2100 Patriot Blvd, the Glen, Glenview (847-832-6600). Sept 7, 6–8pm. $75; kids 13 and under $25 at 1000cleanplates.org or 847-433-8340, ext 13.
