The Metal Masters: Judas Priest + Motörhead + Testament
Aug 19, 5:30pm | First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre
The Priest’s latest single, “Nosferatu”—a tornado of opera arias, double-bass machine-gunning, banshee wailing and six centipede–tapped solos—cramped our middle and ring fingers from continuous devil horning. It’s so over the top it needs oxygen tanks.
Actual cost $20–$125

Maroon 5 + Counting Crows
Aug 22, 7pm | First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre
Straddling the middle of the road, dancing in the headlights with their pallid Van Morrison impression, are the Counting Crows. Meanwhile, the cheekbones and abs on Maroon 5’s Adam Levine distract the hordes from realizing the dude’s falsetto sounds like a castrated Canada goose. In short, this pair works overtime to stave off the beckoning call of the state-fair circuit.
Actual cost $29.50–$150

Broken Social Scene is nothing like Cumbawumba. And Feist is nothing like Sheryl Crow. That's a terrible anology. What's it like being a shitty writer for a living. You guys suck.
