Aimee Mann + Squeeze
Aug 31, 7pm | Ravinia
This is a curious but welcome pairing, like chocolate and chile pepper (guess which is which). As much as we adore Squeeze’s 1979 album Cool For Cats, this set will lean more toward the greatest hits. Fine by us, as it’s perhaps the greatest greatest-hits collection since the Beatles. Mann pushes her new album, Smilers, which features guest-whistler Dave Eggers.
Actual cost $15–$40
What it’s worth whatever it takes to keep Eggers away
Andrew Bird
Sept 3, 6:30pm | Pritzker Pavilion
Death Cab For Cutie sold out the same beautiful space, but Andrew Bird’s whistle-riddled indie-pop is 1) better and 2) free. You win!
Actual cost free
What it’s worth a subscription to The New Yorker
yea real bad metaphors.... i think you were going for Orange Lazarus not Orange Julius too....
Broken Social Scene is nothing like Cumbawumba. And Feist is nothing like Sheryl Crow. That's a terrible anology. What's it like being a shitty writer for a living. You guys suck.

OK, I made it to page 12. I had all I can stands, I can stands no more. Whoever had the idea of breaking articles up into 20 pages should be force to lick those gross CTA fabric bus seats and then get fired!!!!
