Swell Season
Jun 15; 17, 18, 8pm | Chicago Theatre
A year ago, Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova were playing the Hideout. Now, post–Oscar win for the gorgeous “Falling Slowly” from the Ireland-set movie Once, the duo are unlikely superstars playing three sold-out nights at the Chicago Theatre. That June 16 date remains suspiciously open. Sold out.
Actual cost $32.50–$40
What it’s worth airfare to the Emerald Isle
Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
Jun 18, 8pm | Ravinia
Kudos to Mr. Plant for not resting on his laurels post–Led Zeppelin. Few artists with his résumé have continued to risk their reputations like he has, and this new collaboration with bluegrass/lite-rock heroine Krauss is no exception. But no matter how many ethereal, unusual roots covers we hear (Townes Van Zandt, Rosa Lee Watson), this duo—currently augmented by some of Plant and Krauss’s ace session-musician friends—just might put us to sleep. Pavilion sold out: lawn tickets available.
Actual cost $20–$250
What it’s worth one quarter of what Led Zeppelin would charge
yea real bad metaphors.... i think you were going for Orange Lazarus not Orange Julius too....
Broken Social Scene is nothing like Cumbawumba. And Feist is nothing like Sheryl Crow. That's a terrible anology. What's it like being a shitty writer for a living. You guys suck.

OK, I made it to page 12. I had all I can stands, I can stands no more. Whoever had the idea of breaking articles up into 20 pages should be force to lick those gross CTA fabric bus seats and then get fired!!!!
