Somebody watched the Oscars. The veteran South London house stars kick off their latest piece of dense disco candy with sitars, tabla and a little elephant-roar of a turntable flourish. But the Slumdog vibe quickly gives way to typical dance-floor diva throbbing and MDMA-induced arm waving. The mood is pink and whimsical, with a cute music-box melody under the tall waves of synthesizer, but cheesy Auto-Tune’d falsetto pushes things all too close to an SNL Deep House Dish parody.
