“It has always been our dream to open a sports bar,” says Ariele Gifford, who recently closed D’Vine, the bar-club she owned with her husband, Derek, to reopen the space as 6 Corners Sports Bar. D’Vine’s club music is a distant memory, Gifford says. “We’re keeping the real sports fan in mind. They hate it when their sports bar turns into a club.” They also, apparently, like sauce. On the 6 Corners menu, “your sauce is your entrée,” Gifford explains, and the rest of the menu—from grilled chicken skewers to sliders to doughnut holes—are merely accessories for dipping. The sauce-focused food is served until close by “cute-looking girls in sports apparel,” which is another part of Gifford’s dream—and maybe a few other people’s, too. 1950 W North Ave, 773-235-5700.
