Silver sequined party dresses and black pants are the staples of New Year’s Eve garb, but they’re also so last year. Chuck those traditions for a new one: toasting at Lincoln Square’s DANK Haus in a party-inspired outfit. Channel a bit of a Polish folk costume with floral prints and lace. Fellas, since you’ll be partying at the German American Cultural Center, use the vest silhouette from traditional German-festival wear (but leave the lederhosen at home) and strengthen the look with a military twist of epaulets and army boots.
