Waxing
I’m skeptical as soon as I pull the Parissa Quick & Easy Wax Strips for Legs & Body (cheap-looking two-ply plastic strips with wax in the middle) out of the box. But the strips slide onto my legs easily and work moderately well, leaving only a few stray hairs. Though the product doesn’t grab my leg hair as well as the pro waxes I’ve had at salons, I’m impressed by how fast, clean and easy it is to use-. No drippy wax application needed—just rub the strip between your hands to heat the wax, slap it on and rip it off. Because it’s so mess-free, Parissa is great for touch-ups between major waxings and perfect for beginners. Note: The box claims each strip can work several times, but I say use two boxes if you want to wax both legs. And I assume you do. $10.99 at Ulta, locations citywide.—Martha Williams
