THE NAME GAME Although this South Loop studio’s name might stump you (TeJas means inner light in Sanskrit), it’s easy to figure out which class to take here. Instead of using cutesy names, owners (and instructors) Jim Bennitt and James Tennant label each tantric vinyasa session by straightforward level: basic, gentle, moderate and vigorous. New to yoga? The basic class is for you. Need therapeutic attention to your poses? Try gentle. And, obviously, more experienced students can opt for the moderate and vigorous classes. Newbies can take a four-class introduction series ($50, includes a free fifth class); and the studio also offers a men’s only class on Wednesday evenings. 1133 S Wabash Ave, suite 101 (312-386-9642, tejasyogachicago.com). Drop-in classes $16; packages start at $70. Student and teacher discounts are available.
