Description
The Joffrey's new Academy of Dance will most definitely be a temple for chaste young dancers in pink tights, but the opening benefit event is all about Dirty Dancing. The action-packed party features live performances plus a silent auction and deluxe cocktail reception. Dirty Dancing cast member and former Joffrey Ballet dancer Britta Lazenga (who plays the role of Penny Johnson), together with costar Gary Lynch (Moe Pressman), Josef Brown (Johnny Castle) and Amanda Leigh Cobb (Frances “Baby” Houseman) reprise numbers from the show.
