Description
Choreographer Erin Carlisle Norton has a penchant for local history. One of her last major works, 1001 Afternoons in Chicago, was based on the 1920s short stories of Chicago journalist Ben Hecht. This time, with recognition from the Burnham Plan Centennial, she's teamed up with composer Ian Hatcher to offer a new work addressing the history and architecture of Chicago's Union Station. The dance, for a small ensemble, evokes the intimate relationships and problematic social dynamics at the heart of the grand railway hub.
