Description
This year, CHRP's annual family-friendly Global Rhythms program—which in the past has brought rhythmic and percussive dance groups from as far as China and Brazil— brings us performers from the wilds of Washington, D.C. Step Afrika, founded in 1994, builds its stage show on stepping—not the smooth, Chicago couples dance style but the powerful and fun rhythmic group choreography that was once the sole domain of African-American college students. This performance will be SA's Chicago premiere.When
