Description
Shanahan and company perform in a one-night only affair, celebrating recent triumphs and looking confidently ahead to new creations. Tonight's program features Shanahan dancing in Beyond Blackbird, a work we're guessing draws upon the psycho-kinetic discoveries made in her groundbreaking 2007 solo My Name is a Blackbird. The Mad Shak ensemble, currently populated beautifully by Shanahan with Kristina Fluty, Tim Heck, Ben Law and Jessie Marasa, performs an extended excerpt from Stamina of Curiosity: Our Strange Elevations, fresh from its premiere last month in Milwaukee.
