Ren Faire! A Fistful of Ducats
Description
Even if you've never been to Bristol, you'll find plenty of lunacy to savor in the Factory's latest, about the feud between a Wisco-style wenchin' convention and the shoot-'em-up Wild West show across the interstate. Among the many things first-time playwright Matt Engle gets right is one that the Factory rarely does: He keeps it short. Ren Faire! seems under tighter control than the company's beer-fueled, often bloated antics can be. But there's still plenty of room for the caffeinated high jinks, dick jokes and mischievous taunting of Chicago theater's more uptight tendencies, without which a Factory comedy would be like Bristol without mead.—KV

We went to this last weekend and had a pretty good time. We laughed several times but did not get some of the humor. Some of it just went over our heads and seemed geared toward people with Rennaisance Fair experience. Also, some of the jokes were a little crass or childish, but that is just our opinion. Some people like that sort of stuff.
This show is brilliant, tight, and hilarious! It will make you laugh non-stop! And the fight choreography is great!
This has some funny/entertaining sections, but the humor can get repetetive and predictable. Not really worth $20 but if you can get a free or half price ticket, it's worth it.
I have never laughed so hard in my entire life! Brilliantly funny, top notch stage combat! If you see nothing else..go see this!
Ridiculously funny! The perfect show to see this summer...
