Description
Tonight, two Chicago staples go head to head in a showcase of excellent orch-pop. Canasta's 2005 record We Were Set Up contains classic vocals and heavy organs and horns. Struggling through a sea of Chicago bands, SYGC finally released their sophomore record last fall, the follow up to their 2003 debut. Despite going through musicians like tissues, we're glad this chamber pop group still exists. The new track, “Aspidistra,” has a “Rudy Can't Fail” Clash vibe to it. Hopefully they'll play the heart wrenching and beautiful “Topsy Turvy” from their debut.When
