Description
The leads are excellent (Nathan Gunn as the jealous Zurga, Eric Cutler as Nadir and Nicole Cabell as Leila) and so is the tropical set by Herbert Kellner. Bizet's gorgeous score really propels the slow-moving plot, but the fantastic Lyric Opera Chorus is the real unsung component. This isn't a great opera on its own; the Lyric just makes it pretty damn good.When
