Description
Through 11 monologues, writer-performer Will Clinger embodies hucksters, washouts and other fools arrayed around a bloodsucking self-help guru. What starts promisingly proceeds poorly once Clinger attacks Harlon’s unfortunate infomercial followers. Video designer Mike Tutaj turns in his usual excellent work with segments illustrating Harlon’s “Keys to Better Living.” While Clinger’s an endearing performer, with his wide smile and palpable affection for the audience, his characterizations are brittle stereotypes.—Caitlin Montanye ParrishWhen
