Description
Awesome Color got its big break thanks to booster Thurston Moore, but the band's actually more indebted to Moore fave (and fellow Michigan rockers) the Stooges than Sonic Youth. In fact, at this point Iggy and co. could learn a thing or two from the group's gloriously garagey second album, Electric Aborigines (Ecstatic Peace). The band plays DJ Jonathan Toubin's touring party, New York Night Train Happening, before joining a cross-country jaunt with Thurston and the Youth.
