Tickets: Courier Championships: $35–$55; Polo Tournament: $30 per person, $90 per team

Description
The spoke folks we know are busting a lug nut over this weekend of spins, races and bicycle polo. But before the Courier Championships (kind of a misnomer as anyone can try their hand at contests of skill involving skids, track stands, bunny hops and the like) and the bike polo tourney kick off, our wheelmen and women will be tippling at AV-Aerie (2000 W Fulton St) after Friday night's registration. After a full day of preliminary action on Saturday, the party moves to the highly anticipated 4th Annual Chicago Messenger Prom at the Bottom Lounge (1375 W Lake St) where our biking friends will ditch the spandex for their finest duds. After wrapping up play on Sunday and crowning some courier and polo champs, more partying is planned at the Bottom Lounge. Really, it all seems like a rouse to swim in PBR for a weekend, but we're not about to call 'em out.
