If you've ever wondered what happens to children who don't learn about sex while growing up, just ask Herbenick. She never got "the talk" and nowÑas Time Out Chicago's "In & Out" sex columnist, she can't stop talking about sex. As a sex educator and researcher at the Kinsey Institute and in the department of applied health science at Indiana University, Herbenick writes about, teaches and studies sexuality as a full-time job. She's provided expert opinion on sex matters for Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Men's Journal, Esquire, Men's Health, New York Daily News, Cincinnati Enquirer, Tampa Tribune, INtake Weekly, The Guardian (U.K.) and the Discovery Channel. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, a master's degree in public-health education from Indiana University and a Ph.D. in health behavior, also at Indiana University.
