The pasta menu at this Andersonville staple invites you to choose a housemade pasta and pair it with a sauce of your choice. But this is risky business, because while the whole-wheat fettuccine might be a good pair with the classic (and delicious) carbonara sauce, it could just as easily be a dud (hint: it is). Diners playing it safe should order from the entrée menu, where pastas and sauces are already paired for you. There, misto di pesce (grilled seafood) manages to get the calamari, octopus and shrimp perfectly cooked; crisp polenta squares are topped with braised leeks and Gorgonzola; and tender (if fatty) osso buco comes with a delicious side of saffron cavatelli.
