Description
The combination of exemplary ingredients and minimalist preparation is at the heart of every dish at this simple BYOB, and this turns out to be an excellent way to cook. It allows sunchokes, dressed with lemon and parsley, to show off their crunchy earthiness, housemade charcuterie to exhibit its lingering richness, and flaky shortbreads to simply melt in your mouth with no distractions. The food is so naked that it can't hide even the smallest flaws. Luckily, those flaws are few and far between.

I went to Mado last weekend and had the porchetta with salsa verde and arugula. One word says it all - FABULOUS! I have never had such tender pork in my life! I totally loved the atmosphere - it's hip, fresh, and fun. They have huge chalkboards on exposed brick walls which is very cool. If you go, save room for dessert b/c if you don't you will be missing out! I had a chocolate pie with a dollop of real cream on top. It was worth every penny, and I can't wait to go back!
