Description
This popular Edgewater haunt remains a solid Latin American option. Start with the small, but tasty, beef and spinach-mushroom empanadas with spicy avocado sauce. Red snapper, shrimp, squid, scallops and clams swim in the cazuela de mariscos' creamy tomato sauce, and the flank steak (sobrebarriga a la criolla) is so tender, chewing is almost a formality. Savor it, though, just as you should the delicious margaritas—shaken and poured into martini glasses tableside.

I don't think this review from TOC tells how wonderful this restaurant is. I believe the idea is a Columbian/Mexican fusion restaurant, and they pull it off well. Order the Carne Asada and you won't be disappointed. It's cooked the way you order it, not overcooked, and served with some astonishingly delicious (yet not overflavored) rice and black beans. The best part, perhaps, could be the fried plantains that also come with the meal. Absolutely delicious.
