Description
Embracing the no-frills concept like champs (save for the enormous television in the back of the room, the place is pretty bare), this corner storefront's main attraction is the promise of Middle Eastern food in a sea of Korean spots. Silky hummus and smoky baba ghanoush are strong points, though a complimentary salad dressed with olive oil and mint is a welcome surprise. Squat rounds of falafel have a crisp crust hiding a fluffy center, and even if the chefs cook the hell out of the shish kebab, it's nothing a slathering of the creamy, housemade toum (garlic spread) can't fix.
