Description
Sisay Abebe, the former owner of Ethiopian Diamond, has broadened his range at this Rogers Park restaurant: Instead of focusing on Ethiopia, he now offers a pan-African experience. Savory "summer rolls"—egg-roll skins stuffed with impeccably spiced minced beef and sautéed until golden—get things off to a good start. "Malindi" lentil soup is hearty and rife with chunks of vegetables. And the jollof rice—beef, chicken, or lamb sautéed with onion, thyme, garlic and green peppers—is thoroughly spiced (though, unlike many of these dishes, not at all spicy).

THis is the best place for Pan-African around. They have an awesome peanut stew and a great fruit-curry dish (I recommend with lamb). Plus, the staff is wonderful and Sisay is so accommodating.
I am a fan of Africa Harambee. I go at least once a week with friends and family members. Pleasant service and generous portion. I like their Kitfo (Ethiopian tartar) so much. It is like one stop service for many major African cuisines. Great Job.
I love the Pan African cuisines, the food and the staff. Sisay is so hospitable and accomodating. We've had consistent high quality food and service. Could eat there daily. Loved it!!!
Great place! The food was outstanding- loved all the vegetarian options ! Very attentive service and reasonably priced.
