Description
It's barely big enough to hold all his fans, but chef Art Smith's restaurant is full of big-flavored, butter-laden Southern-inspired foods, most of them worth trying to get a reservation for. One of the best dishes (the goat cheese biscuits) comes complimentary, but other menu items are worth paying for—ancho chile-crusted pork chops with pickled cherries, fried green tomato napoleon with goat cheese and a pistachio-crusted chicken breast with coconut-ginger chili sauce. Almost just as important as the food is Chef Smith himself, who's occasionally in the dining room checking on guests as if, well, he owned the place.
