Description
There's no other Vietnamese joint in the city with a room quite as pleasant, sophisticated or styled as the dining room here. Dishes gain from French-colonial-Vietnam flair, such as recent additions like pan-seared codfish in rich tomato-mango sauce and wok-prepared lemongrass chicken spiced up with basil-chili sauce. Regulars rely on house favorites like crispy shrimp beignets and the lean, juicy ginger-marinated duck and know to head upstairs to the dim, sexy lounge for an after-dinner drink.
Hours
Lunch, dinner.
Though I enjoy Le Colonial's food and ambiance, my recent experience was ruined by their valet parking my car in a tow zone. In fact, the host told us that our car had been stolen, though we later discovered it had been impounded. To make matters worse, management refused to offer us any recourse or reimbursement despite ruining our night. It took us 2 hours to determine the whereabouts of our car and retrieve it. This is a sad reflection on how much management cares about loyal customers.
