Description
This former prepared foods shop is now a full-fledged restaurant that's carved out a niche with its reservation-only Saturday night "underground" dinners and tasting menu–only format (four courses for $45, seven for $85, 13 for $150). Value comes via the spot's BYOB status, and dishes that put season at the forefront but are also consistently creative. The menu changes according to the chef's whim, but recent seasonal additions include rhubarb with tea-smoked baby octopus, stinging nettles in a mussel-studded miso broth and fiddleheads with spring lamb leg. Take advantage of the back patio on warm nights.

We had Bonsoiree cater our wedding and it was unbelievable. Chef Luke made the most amazing food, notably the braised short ribs and the grilled escolar still had everyone talking days later. The organizer, Anthony Navarro went so far above and beyond any catering responsibilities he might have had. He was not only the catering coordinator, but he made sure I wanted for nothing, emceed the entire evening, and made sure my mom had fun as opposed to worrying about the details. He was amazing and
