Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar

Average main course: $16.
Description
With wood-fired pizza spots opening faster than a Cubs catcher can throw a punch, it looks like thin-crust pizza has replaced sushi as Chicagos trendiest cuisine. The swankiest of the bunch is Frasca, with arches reminiscent of a Tuscan wine cellar, sexy red leather banquettes and wallpaper of bare branches climbing up the curved walls. The cavernous space is packed to conversation-inhibiting capacity with twentysomethings chomping on chewy thin-crust pizzas—we like the fennel sausage, onion and mozz Capone—and tossing back reasonably priced wines. The tender, wood-fired shrimp was a simple, yet delicious app, and the carrot cake tiramisu was a dream of a finish.
Hours
Brunch (Sat, Sun), dinner.
I was recently at the Powerhouse and was told by the server that both the GM/Partner and the chef had departed! Anyone know anything?
