Description
The staff is as sweet as pie, the room is airy and comfortable, and the menu is affordable at this BYOB Vietnamese spot. The only downside is that compared to the stellar spots around Argyle Street, the food here is a bit standard. Skip so-so entrées and make a meal of starters like shrimp- or tofu-packed spring rolls, sweet potato and shrimp fritters, and shredded green papaya salad studded with bits of crunchy toasted garlic and peanuts.

This is my new favorite neighborhood spot. The food is amazing--I loved the Ginger Mahi-Mahi. The ginger sauce was sweet and hot, Mahi Mahi grilled to perfection, crisp at the edges. Staff was amazingly accommodating--even to our 4-year-old (they brought him a complimentary smoothie!) Time Out wrote an article to help save this restaurant during the recession--seriously, I hope we can keep this one open--it's a gem!
I absolutely love this place. Their delivery is very quick and the owner answers the phone half the time -they couldn't be friendlier. Beyond that, the food itself is great! I never feel disgusting afterwards as with most delivery food - it tastes fresh and healthy. I am partial to their tofu spring rolls, grilled salmon over vermicelli, and green papaya salad with shrimp and peanuts. Also, try the Saigonese crepe - it's soo good and big enough to serve as an entree.
