You'll hardly recognize this recently reopened sushi spot: Gone are the tangerine walls, industrial carpeting, low drop ceiling and the unsettling walk through the kitchen to reach the restroom. In their place is a giant space (it expanded into the next-door storefront) with soaring ceilings, eclectic artwork, a new "kushi bar" (skewered meats and veggies) and, thankfully, the same great sushi. Still reliably delicious are the fresh and crunchy dragon roll and the spicy sweet potato maki, but the kushi is about as bland and unexciting as you'd think food on a stick would be. Part of the price of a sleek new look: Ringo is awaiting a liquor license, so BYOB while you still can.
