Description
Americanized Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen, so why is this successful? Two reasons: It's across from Webster Place theater and does a brisk premovie crowd, and the affable chef-owner, Tommy, is revered by regulars as the nicest guy around. When he's not in the dining room kissing babies, he's in the kitchen turning out dependable Thai standards. The crispy shrimp and the lime-dressed chicken salad are good starters, and the duck or the garlic-lemongrass shrimp are tasty entrées. Vegetarians will be happy with the flavorful tofu and crisp veggies that dot nearly a dozen meat-free dishes.
