Description
If everything on John Manion's new menu at Goose Island were as good as his pork sliders, Hopleaf would go out of business. Kuma's might, too. And note to fish-taco purveyors in the city: The tortillas piled with perfectly crisp tilapia, cool cabbage and a spicy chipotle mayo pose a threat. Not everything is perfect (mussels and crostini are average), but with offerings like the "Ham Burger," a beef patty slathered with pork rillettes, topped with country ham and finished with a fried egg, Goose Island may soon become a dining destination with a good beer list instead of a drinking destination that serves food.
