This Lincoln Square hot spot distinguishes itself with consistently fresh cuts of fish and perfectly seasoned rice. Regulars visit often for chef Pang's maki specials like the Lava—tempura-battered spicy shrimp, cream cheese and avocado topped with marinated crab and cilantro. The small plates are as good as the sushi: Try the seared sea scallops with grilled pineapple and curry sauce and the sashimi-style king crab legs with mirin butter soy (delicious with an icy glass of Sapporo). The energetic staff turns up the techno come late night, but guests who can't handle the din can book a private tatami room, which seats up to eight. Bonus: This place delivers.
