Hachi is Japanese for bee, which is dually fitting since chef Bee's place has been buzzing since it opened more than a month ago. Sleek decor is sophisticated but not sceney, the sake and wine lists are packed with ideal sushi partners, and the creative starters and maki steal the show from the thick, glossy cuts of expected fish varieties. Try the crunchy-creamy tuna masako, the citrus and sesame oil–kissed chilled octopus, and the slick miso-glazed black cod.
