Yellowed photos of sunny Cuban beaches line the walls of this tiny storefront, a casual meeting place for the local Cuban community. Don't miss the standout ropa vieja, a soft pile of garlicky, tomatoey shredded beef that releases juice and flavor with every chew. Traditionalists will love the authentic bacalao (salt cod), the fried pork chops and the boliche (slow-cooked eye-of-round offered only on Thursdays). Show up early—you may walk by and see some older Cuban men smoking cigars and grunting at the television, but if it's after 8:30pm they won't let you in.
