Average main course: $24.
Description
Aggressively flavorful, rich mainstays like the Gage burger, dripping with melted onion marmalade and gobs of Camembert, keep this downtown gastropub buzzing. But chef Dirk Flanigan's summertime offerings are further amplified by seasonal ingredients: a peppered hanger steak is brightened up with watermelon, basil and mint, while roasted Amish chicken gets green beans tossed with arugula, citrus and goat cheese. Not hungry? Sidewalk seating across from Millennium Park is the perfect place to enjoy a sparkling cocktail like the Forbidden Fruit, made with prosecco and fresh grapefruit juice.

Wonderful to have choices that require time and thought! Good service, well-timed with drinks, etc. My friend and I had apple pancake and strawberry stuffed French toast, but got delightful service, just as if we'd ordered the top items on the menu. As noted above, nice to have a place of this quality and variety in this location.
