Description
If Viaggio were like so many other restaurants of its kind—Italian-American joints where the red sauce has no nuance and the endless menu no soul— there would have been no reason to order classics like the Sunday gravy or meatballs. But this West Loop joint is different precisely because it takes care with dishes that so many other people simply slap together. Here, the meatballs are juicy, the veal is perfectly pan-fried and the gravy is immensely hearty. So even though you've had these dishes countless times before, it feels like the first time.

Unexpectedly, the best Italian in Chicago. A little expensive but worth the price. Staff friendly and service was above par.
