Description
New York chef Marcus Samuelsson entered the Chicago market with this seafood spot on the ground floor of the Affinia Hotel, but we're pretty convinced the Scandinavian chef is little more than the name attached to the project. Nicole Pederson, a Lula vet, recently stepped in as the chef de cuisine, catching up with winter flavors in dishes like an heirloom-apple salad and a grilled pork chop with farro and Concord grapes. One thing has, thankfully, stayed constant: pastry chef Toni Roberts, who's gained a following for her seasonal desserts (cider-poached pear with ricotta fig fritters, pumpkin-caramel bread pudding) and delightful candies.
