Description
Husband-and-wife team Mohammad Islam and Malika Ameen have firmly entrenched themselves in River North’s dining scene, giving Merchandise Mart folks an after-work haunt while also maintaining "dining destination" status. As spring slowly creeps in, leeks get crisped alongside roasted lobster, pickled cipollini accompany slow-cooked rabbit, and huckleberries and lemon sorbet brighten up a key lime custard–topped pavlova. Don’t have an AIG bonus to blow? The new bar menu—offering small plates of salted cod gratin, goose-liver pëté and braised bacon with a honey-tangerine slaw—tops out at $10.
