Description
There's a lot to choose from on the menu at this cavernous after-work spot, which owners Edgar and Marcos Castañeda very much want to be different from their family's chain of Mexican spots, Lalo's. Gone is the small-plates format with which the restaurant opened. In its place is a trio of sprightly ceviches; a duo of tamales, one stuffed with fiery strips of jalapeño; carne al pastor paired with a tomatillo sauce that's both acidic and creamy; and fish tacos that join grilled tilapia with crunchy pickled onions.
