Description
The female owner-and-chef team behind this swank River North spot are both of Indian descent, but they aren't doing Devon. They're attempting to elevate Indian cuisine and weave in Latin American flair via dishes like chile-glazed tamarind ribs with sweet corn salsa. The new "dhaba fare" section of the menu includes eats popular at truck stops in India: goat curry, chicken in creamy tomato gravy and spicy garbanzo beans. Creative spice-driven specialty cocktails like "blueberry cardamom fizz" are tasty enough to warrant a separate visit to the bar.

  this meal was highly disappointing all around. there was a party of 75 at the restaurant so we couldn't make a reservation until 9 pm (which was fine), but this led to incredibly slow service & mediocre, overcooked food. it took approximately 45 minutes to get our dessert (never got an apology for the delay), and when the bite-size $12 desserts came, it was laughable. this food MAY have been OK at a lower price point had it not been touted so highly, but the whole place was pretentious & bad
