There's an interesting distraction during the long wait for a table at this sunny vegetarian brunch spot: A TV shows Indian guru Sri Chinmoy (of whom every employee is a follower) lifting heavy things—a crew of firemen, a helicopter, a plane. Impressive, but we're bigger believers in the two-inch-thick French toast slathered in peach butter and maple syrup, or the pesto-laden free-range scrambled eggs in the Satisfaction Promise, which comes with crispy potatoes and crusty bread. The Coconut-Peanut Veggie Wrap is a bit bland—heavy on fresh veggies, brown rice and tofu, but low on coconut and peanut flavor—but the dish's salvation is its side: chunky mashed potatoes with mushroom gravy.
