Description
Modern in the most basic, CB2 kind of way, this pizza joint offers little to gawk at in terms of design. So the only thing left to focus your attention on is the food. The kitchen claims to have spent a long time perfecting its crust, and that may be true—but it is a pedestrian crust all the same: a little thick but still crackery. Piled with the housemade, fennel-seed sausage, the Denny's Grand Slam pizza is a very respectable nosh, and the eggplant "napoleone" is a light and charming (if basic) way to start. Still, this is truly a neighborhood spot: The only people for whom it makes sense to make the trip here are those who live close by.
