Description
This remodeled public library from nightlife vets Howard Natinsky (Fat Cat, Five Star) and Cary Michaels (formerly with Rockit Ranch Productions) is an immensely comfortable space, with a glass wall of doors that open onto the sidewalk and a skylit back room that lends an airy indoor-outdoor feel. Chef Bob Zrenner's food, however, feels less at peace with itself. Pub-grub fare like greaseless fried perch and calamari was the most successful, and a gamble on the grilled octopus appetizer paid off handsomely. But the rest of the menu (from the burger to the scallops to the lamb shank) disappoints, and the mass-market wine and beer list won't leave much to excite you, either.
