This new sister to the popular Carducci in Lincoln Park, with its hint of a Goodfellas feel, seems a tad out of place amid the other, trendier-than-thou spots on Division. But crowds are already pouring in to listen to an old-school crooner play "Volare" on an electric keyboard while they dig into red-sauce favorites. Some dishes miss, like paper-thin eggplant overloaded with goat cheese and marinara and a caprese salad made with some not-so-summery–looking tomatoes. But others are right on the mark: Linguini frutti di mar has a garlicky bite and is studded with plump shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari; meatballs and thin-crust pizza would do any nonni proud.
