The Pain Stop Massage Therapy
Description
The masseuses here don't speak much English, but they know enough words to get the job done: pain and where. At this new Wicker Park antispa, you can soothe your aches with massage ($65), reflexology ($45) and cupping ($75), but don't expect plush robes, heated massage beds or a Zen-like waiting area. Instead, the aestheticians quickly assess your ailment (they can work on anything from muscle aches to stress), and put you in a spartan treatment room. They practice the qi gong tui-na method of healing. The technique uses acupressure points, energy-flow areas of the body and sometimes even Chinese herbs to pinpoint where pain originates.
